Project Ð Ð•Ð—ПЕКТ

Content Coordinator & Training Facilitator

Project РЕЗПЕКТ was the offshoot of an intensive weekend workshop (GLOWBE University) for Ukrainian students on the topics of consent, healthy relationships, rape culture, sexual assault, healthy relationships, and advocacy/bystander intervention. The hosting organization, Lviv Regional Youth Center, recognized the value of discourse and action on these topics and the enthusiasm for continued programming on the part of the students.

Due to my years of work in this field while in undergrad, I was contacted to curate content for and lead facilitation of an initial training-of-trainers for five hand-picked Ukrainian students. The project's objectives were to translate the material from English to Ukrainian, then empower these students to continue trainings on their own in their native language. These goals were intended to form a sustainable foothold for education on these topics in Ukraine.

Spring Training 2016 Group 33

Training Facilitator

A major responsibility of my work with Cal Poly New Student & Transition Programs was to oversee the 30-hour training of twenty-five orientation leaders-in-training. This involved facilitating training topics including (but not limited to) conflict management, customer service, drug & alcohol abuse, and sexual assault on college campuses. I was also responsible for monitoring and evaluating progress, and providing feedback on a regular basis. I am proud to have successfully passed every single one of my trainees, who went on to provide quality orientation week experiences for over 200 new students.

I conducted a similarly successful training in 2017 for 25 new leaders-in-training as well.

Undergraduate Research Publication

Undergraduate Researcher

Throughout the final two years of my undergraduate studies I participated in a research project associated with promising anti-malarial medicine. Throughout the academic year I worked part-time, and in the summer of 2016 I worked on this project full-time for three months. Due primarily to my efforts working full time my team and I were able to finish work and publish a in an academic journal, which also served as our senior projects.
